- I'm a vet (55) my wife is a vet (50) we were active when the Russians shot down flight 007 and a lot of marines got killed in their barracks, desert storm, and the current fiasco. Retired in 2004. My son, (26) just got out of the marine corp. after 2 tours in Iraq.
